Text | Died at her home in Shell Knob township on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1911, Susan Louisa, wife of A. Harrell, age 69 years, and 18 days. Mrs. Harrell was a native of Tennessee and in her youth moved with her parents to Illinois, was married Oct. 26, 1868, to Anson Harrell at Frankfort, Illinois and moved to Missouri in 1877 and located in Dade County. They moved to Barry County in 1887 to the home where she died. She was the mother of seven children of whom three survive, Mrs. Dulcee Hughes of Mt. Vernon, Ollie wife of Sam Legerwood of Viola and a son R. B. Harrell of Shell Knob.
Mrs. Harrell professed religion in 1868 and united with the C. P. Church. She died surrounded by her family and friends an mourned by all. In her death, her husband mourns a devoted wife, her children a loving mother, the church an earnest and consistent Christian and neighborhood an example of kindness and charity that will not soon be forgotten.
