| Text | Herndon S. Harper, youngest son of Mrs. M. C. Harper, was born March 28,1874; departed this life June 9, 1897, at his home near Pioneer, Mo. His
body was laid at rest in the Corsicana cemetery, funeral conducted by the
writer, in a large crowd of relatives and friends. Herndon was loved and highly respected by both old and young who knew him. He was a member of the Purdy C. P. Junior C. E. S. and was always in his place ready to do his part. Just before he died he talked of Jesus and his love and said he was ready to go over, but that he regretted to leave mother and his dear sister. |
