Obit For Albert Peter Harper

Text - Outline Albert Peter Harper, 75, died Tuesday morning after a short illness. He had been making his home with his son Ralph Harper, Kenewick. He was born February 15, 1871 at Dahli, IA., and had served several years as janitor of the Methodist church and the schools here. He had lived here for about six years.

Surviving are five sons, Ralph Harper of Kenewick; Charles and Archie Harper of Connell, Donald Harper of Purdy, MO., and Howard Harper in the service in China. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Ella Richmond of Connell, 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services are being held Thursday afternoon with the Rev. J. B. Coan officiating. Interment in Riverview Heights cemetery.

Research note: Albert was married to Charity Ann Lane a widow of William Kanada McComas and a daughter of Wilson and Eliza (Long) Lane. The marriage must have ended in divorce because Charity lived to 1962. Albert had a previous wife called Rose.

Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Barry Co. is the burial place of his parents, at least 2 children and a brother. Charity is buried next to her first husband William in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
