| Text | Verna E. Hampel, 69, of Jenkins, died February 2 at Cox Medical Center in
Springfield. Mrs. Hampel was born August 5, 1931, the daughter of Walter and Bernice (Cook) Erick. She had lived in the Jenkins area since 1974. During the 1970s she worked at Fannings Department Store in Cassville. She married Paul C. Hampel on October 9, 1954, in Hamilton Square, New Jersey, and he preceded her in death December 19, 1997. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. The body has been cremated under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Cassville. No services are planned. |
