Text | Funeral Services for Abraham Hall, 71, who died Monday afternoon at the home of his sister, Mrs. Melissa Whittington, were held at the Methodist Protestant church on Marshal Hill Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Shearman Erickson, assisted by Rev. E. R. Stribling officiated. Mr. Stribling read the scripture Revelation 21. He led in pray and read the obituary. Mr. Erickson’s text was Hebrews 11:10, “For he looked for a city which hath foundation, whose builder and maker is God.” The women’s choir of the church sang the hymns, Mrs. R. J. Kitterman, leader. Mrs. E. R. Stribling and Dollie Fay Burch sang a duet and Rev. Sherman Erickson, by special request sang “ When I Make My Last Move.” Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery under direction of Callaway’s funeral services. Pallbearers were Hunter Anderson, Henry Martin, John Waltrip, Dallas Smith, Guy Keeton and James Beck. Carrying the flowers were Bernice Davis, Mary Howerton, Freda Martin, Louise Martin, and Maurine Keeton. Relatives from out of town who came to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ross, Tulsa Ok., Mr. and Mrs. Mike Dulca, Dallas, Tex., James Hall, Arlington, Tex., Sid Hall, Prior, Mo., Miss Rachel Campbell, Galena; Mr. and Mrs. Harrmon Lee and family of Aurora; Raymond Hadlow, Cassville, and A.B. Shrum of Shell Knob. Those from a distance left for their homes Wednesday evening and Thursday.
