| Text | Evelyn Hailey, 88, of Cassville, died May 3 at Freeman Neosho Hospital. Mrs. Hailey was born August 4, 1912, in Diamond, the daughter of Thomas Clement "Ment" and Nell Hill Sutter Clement. She received a bachelor of science degree from Southwest Missouri State College in Springfield and taught school in Pineville, Diamond, and Cassville until retiring. She was a member of the First Christian Church and honorary member of Silver Leaf Club, both in Cassville. She married Bill Hailey on June 6, 1940, and he preceded her in death April 5, 1985. Survivors include two sisters, of Neosho and of Sugarland, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were 2 p.m. today, May 7, at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Sid Allsbury officiating under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. Memorials may be made to the church. |
