Text | Leslie "Hammer" Edward Haddock's obituary reads that he was age 86, and of Monett, died at 9:30 A.M. yesterday, February 16, at his home. Mr. Haddock was born June 2, 1917, in Eagle Rock, the son of George R. and Rose Tucker Haddock. He was retired from the Frisco railroad. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Monett where he had been a Sunday school teacher. He was also a bee-keeper and quail hunter. He married Mildred L. Wayt on March 23, 1939, in Southwest City, MO. Survivors include three daughters, one brother, 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Services will be 2 P.M. Thursday, February 19, at Buchanan Chapel in Monett with Rev. Dan Evans officiating. Burial will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. |
