| Text | Inez Haddock, 86, of Monett, died at 5:40 a.m. today, July 27, at Cox Medical Center North in Springfield. Mrs. Haddock was born October 28, 1913, in Exeter, the daughter of William Penn and Missouri Ellen (Beck) Graber. She was a lifelong Barry County resident and had lived in the Monett area for 58 years. She retired in 1965 as editorial assistant at the Pierce City Leader-Journal and was a member of New Site Baptist Church where she was clerk for many years. She married Charles Saunders Haddock on August 16, 1941, in Barry County, and he preceded her in death February 3, 1978. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 29, at Buchanan Chapel in Monett with Rev. Billy Banks and Rev. Leon Riddle officiating. The body will be cremated and burial at a later date in New Site Cemetery in Monett under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, July 28, at the funeral home. The casket will be closed. Memorials may be made to the cemetery. |
