Text | Mrs. Lillis Gurley, 76-year-old resident of Exeter, died at 9:15 o’clock Tuesday night in St. Vincent hospital in Monett, where she had been a patient four weeks.
Born November 27, 1887, in Cherryvale, Kan., she moved to the Exeter community as a young child. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Exeter.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Norma Smith of Exeter; and three grandsons. Services will be at 1:30 o’clock Friday afternoon in First Baptist church, with the Rev. Charles Vanzandt and the Rev. Tim Larkin officiating. Burial will be in Maple Wood cemetery under direction of Williamson funeral home of Cassville.
