| Text | Hurshel E. Gurley passed away Sept.1st 1948. He was born September 4th , 1883; was 64 years, 11 months, 27 days old. He was the son of Albert Newton and Eliza Gurley and was one of a family of ten children. Surviving to mourn his passing are three brothers; H. H. and J. M. Gurley of Butterfield, and C. M. Gurley of Exeter; two sisters, Mrs. Fanny Shoopman of Bristow, Okla.; and Mrs. Emma McCluer of Mineral Springs, at whose home he died. His father, mother, three sisters and one brother preceded him in death. He leaves a host of relatives and friends. We want to thank those who helped in any way; Mr. Culver, the singers, the ones who played the piano, the ones who dug the grave and the ones who sent flowers. May God’s richest blessings rest on all. The funeral was at Mt. Pleasant church and he was laid to rest in the Clark cemetery with the Culver undertakers in charge. |
