Text | Mrs. Dora Gurley, 83 years old, of Cassville a former Butterfield resident, died Monday night, February 15, 1960 in Jane Chian Hospital in Webb City. She had been a patient in the hospital about two weeks and had been in failing health four years. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock in Mt. Pleasant Church near Butterfield, with the Rev. Ralph LaForge officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Culver Funeral Home. Mrs. Gurley was born January 28, 1877, in Barry County. Surviving are two sons, Eulus Gurley, Bristow, Okla., and Amos Gurley, Joplin; two daughters, Mrs. A. V. Nelson of Butterfield and Mrs. Ray McNally of Cassville; two sisters, Mrs. H. S. King of Purdy, and Mrs. Tenie Ennis of Stockton, Calif.; one brother, John Riddle of Pierce City, 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren.
