Text | Donald Gunter, 74, of Monett, died at 9:30 p.m. yesterday, December 20, at his home following a brief illness. Mr. Gunter was born February 22, 1930, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, the son of George William and Unice Roseanna Baldridge Gunter. He was retired from Schreiber Foods in Monett as a machine operator. He was a member of the Chapel of Grace Church of Monett and had served in the Missouri National Guard. He married Irene Nicklas on December 30, 1950 in Berryville, Arkansas. Survivors include three sons, one daughter, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 23, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Jim Copley and Rev. Doug Williams officiating. Burial will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow, December 22, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the church or Community Hospice. |
