Text | John Emery Guenther, 45, of Monett, died at 9:23 a.m. yesterday in a vehicular south of Joplin. Mr. Guenther was born on July 13, 1948 in Sumner, Iowa. He moved to Monett in 1988 from Aplington, Iowa, and worked as the night foreman in the shipping department at Efco Corporation. He was a member of Brethern Church in Iowa. He married Violet Harlow on February 26, 1972, and she survives. He was preceded in death by his father, William Lester Guenther. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Bennington-Wormington Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles D'Arcy officiating. Burial will be in a private cemetery in Kings Prairie. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Monett chapter of FFA. |
