Text | Joe R. Groszkeski, of this place, died Oct. 6, age 82 years of old age. He was one of the county's earliest Polish settlers and had been the sexton of the Bricefield Catholic church for 23 years. He is survived by a stepson, George Guzowski. Funeral services were conducted Sunday by Rev. A. A. Sena and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery here. Mr. Groskeski was a veteran of two wars, Austrian in 1866 and the France Prussian. He was an excellent citizen and had many friends who will regret to learn of his death. John Meloski, John Golubski and Father Albert were in Cassville, Wednesday in the probate court probating his will. His property consisting of a farm of forty acres and some personal property is left to his step-son. Research Note: Two different spellings in same obit. Groskowski on the death certificate. |
