Text | Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Griffith, 75, Exeter, who died at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, May 27, at South Barry County Hospital, Cassville, after a long illness, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Williamson Chapel in the Valley, Cassville. Born February 5, 1898, at Exeter, Mrs. Griffith was a lifetime resident of this area. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Exeter. Survivors include her husband, Arthur E. Griffith; two sons, James Griffith, Vista, California, and Roy Griffith, Exeter; a daughter, Mrs. Maxine McGinnis, Kansas City, Kansas; a sister, Mrs. Nora Kehages, Kansas City, and five grandchildren. Rev. Gussie Carlson will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter. Research Note: This obit has the dates of birth as Feb. 05, 1898 and death May 28, 1973. Her stone at Maplewood has Feb. 5, 1898 as the birth date, which matches the obit. The death certificate has Feb. 2, 1898 as the birth date. |
