| Text | Velma LeEssie Greenway, 98, of Joplin, died at 8 p.m. April 24 at her daughter's home following a long illness. Mrs. Greenway was born February 21, 1904, in LeAnn, the daughter of Walter and Adelia (Hilton) McCubbin. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Joplin. She married Virgil Greenway on October 20, 1928, in Cassville, and he preceded her in death March 27, 1993. Survivors include two sons, four daughters, three sisters, 17 grand children, 18 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 29, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett. Burial will be in LeAnn Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. |
