Text | Services for Charles Greenway, 69, of Joplin, who died July 11, were held at 1 p.m. yesterday, July 15, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. Music was provided the the Greenway family which sang Face To Face, What A Day That Will Be, Pearly White City, It Will Be Worth It All, and Blessed Assurance. Eulogy was given by Cliff Thompson. Casketbearers were Harly Hemphill, Jim Mooney, Paul Thompson, John McCoy, Edward Suttles, and Cliff Thompson. Burial was in Leann Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Military rites were conducted by members of Tom Wolfe Memorial Post 4207 Monett Veterans of Foreign Wars under the command of Harry Grainger. Riflemen were Elroy Bouressa, Bud Luney, Rick Rice, Cecil Mahurin, Harry Grainger, Dick Gibson, and Tom Pinkley. Color Guard was composed of Sinclair Rogers and Jim Larkin. Flagfolders were Bill Modglin and John Boucher. |
