| Text | Died, Sunday, July 14, at the home of his brother, Chas. F. Green in Exeter, James Green, aged 23 years, 4 months and 8 days. "Jim", as he was familiarly called by his many friends was born March 6, 1872 at Jonesville, Lee Co., VA, and at the age of seven moved to Kentucky, thence in 1882 to Northern Arkansas. In 1891 he attended school in Purdy and the following year studied telegraphy under his brother George at Cameron, I. T. One year later he was appointed Frisco agent at Durham from which place he went to Exeter about a year ago. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. W. Koons and interment occurred in the new cemetery south of Exeter, Monday. |
