| Text | Burt C. Green, 84, Rogers, died at Little Rock Hospital Monday. He was born Sept. 10, 1888, in Girard, Kan. He is survived by three sons, Leon Green of Monett, Mo. (two still living); two daughters; two step-sons, Glen Fields (one still living), both of Rogers; a stepdaughter; and a sister of California. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Rogers Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Callison's Funeral Home. RESEARCH NOTE: Burts' first wife was Rebecca Jane Fields, daughter of Daniel Boone Fields & Mary Jane Chancellor. They were the parents of five children. Burt married second, Lena Belmont Mullins Fields, the widow of William Presley Fields. They were the parents of 5 children, three which are mentioned as step-children in his obituary. The possibly still living children from his first marriage lived in Monett, Verona, & Eagle Rock, MO. |
