Text - Outline | Pvt. Jonnie Graves was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Orbie Graves east of Cassville. He graduated a few years ago from the Cassville High school, being president of the Senior Class, and was a good student and popular both with his teachers and the student body. He was a very fine young man. He leaves his wife and a baby daughter, in addition to his parents and other relatives. He was killed January 20th in Belgium. Mrs. Graves was before marriage Miss Anna Frances Ryan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ryan of the Mineral Spring community. She and her baby daughter are at the home of her parents. The telegrams to the families stated that confirmation letters would follow. Pvt. Graves was at home last June. At the time of his induction he was working in a defense plant at Evansville, Ind. Prior to that he was employed at the Cooper’s Market in Cassville. |
