Text | Grandma Graston died at the home of her son-in-law Thomas Eacret. Research Note: In Washburn Prairie Cemetery, Marquetta (Graston) Eaciet is buried. She was born Mar. 22, 1845, IN and died May 17, 1933, Roaring River, Barry Co., MO, burial Washburn Prairie. Her death certificate has that her father was William Graston, born TN, and her mother's maiden name was Peck, born KY. She was 88 years, 1 month and 22 days old when she died. Thomas N. Eacrid was given as her husband and she was widowed. The cause of death was chronic nephritis. Myrtle Eacrit, Seligman, MO, was the informant. Donna's Note: This document has the spellings of Eacrid, Eacret, Eacrid and is filed by the SOS web site as Eacrey. In 1880 the census reports appear to read Eacret for Thomas and his wife Mary. They were living in household 6 in Sugar Creek Twp. of Barry County. Elizabeth Gaston, mother-in-law, was living in the house, too. So from that it appears that Grandma Graston was Elizabeth (Peck) Graston wife of William. |
