| Text | Evelyn Lorraine Grass, 91, of Springfield, formerly of Monett, died at 9:10 a.m. yesterday, March 15, at the home of her daughter in Springfield. Mrs. Grass was born October 7, 1909, in Payton, Ohio. She and her husband owned and operated Big M Boat Dock on Table Rock Lake for many years, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the All Faith United Methodist Church and All Faith W. H. O. in Eagle Rock, and a charter member of the Mano Community Club. She married Arthur Charles Grass on September 3, 1930, in Greenville, Illinois, and he preceded her in death July 1, 1992. Survivors include one daughter, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by great grandchild, Tyler Bauer. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 20, at Buchanan Chapel in Monett with Rev. Larry Scriven officiating. Burial will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the church. |
