| Text | Amanda "Mandy" Lugene (Howerton) Goostree, 97, of Seminole, Oklahoma, formerly of Exeter, died September 29 at Unity Health Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma, following a brief illness. Mrs. Goostree was born August 13, 1907, in Barry County, the daughter of Jim and Hetti (Drinkwater) Howerton. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was married to Aulton Goostree, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, John Howerton. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 4, at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. |
