| Text | Lee Goodnight, 87, of Monett, died at 11:44 a.m. April 27 at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield following a brief illness. Mr. Goodnight was born September 26, 1914, in Monett, the son of L. C. and Minnie Lee Robertson Goodnight. He was a dairy and stock farmer, a 1932 graduate of Purdy High School, and a member of New Salem Church. He attended Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church. He married Helen Marie Nunneley in October of 1938 in Barry County. Additional survivors include two daughters, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. tomorrow, April 30, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Lee Neill officiating. Burial will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today, April 29, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. John's Heart Fund or Macedonia Church building fund. |
