| Text | Green Berry Glass was born in Kentucky, November 5, 1850 and departed this life September 1, 1929, at the age of 78 years, 9 months and 26 days at his home north of Exeter. He was united in marriage to Miss ____ Hud????. To this union one child, William Glass was born. After the death of his first wife, he was married to ---------. He and Mrs. Glass made their home in Wheaton for several years. He leaves to mourn his departure a wife, one son, three grand children and a host of relatives and friends. The body was laid to rest in the Antioch Cemetery Tuesday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Vanzandt. Research Note: This obit is very difficult to read due to the condition of the Journal. A lot of the obit was unreadable. On Antioch Cemetery there is a picture of the headstone of Glass, G. B. and gives his birth date as Nov. 5, 1851. (obit has 1850). There is also a tombstone of Ibby Glass (wife of G. B. Glass), birth date, Sept. 23, 1854 and died 13, Jan 1950. |
