Text | Rev. W. C. Gilbert died at his home at Golden, Sunday night, April 28, at the age of 66 years. He had been confined to his bed for many weeks and had been in failing health for some time. Rev. Gilbert was a minister of the Church of God and had been in the work of the ministry for many years. He was a man of many sterling qualities, quiet and unassuming, devoted to his work and going about doing good. He was well known through the eastern part of the county and will be greatly missed. He leaves a widow and four sons, John Gilbert of Golden, Chas. Gilbert of Shell Knob, Holly Gilbert of Alba and A. W. Gilbert of Monett and one daughter Mrs. Sarah Williams. |
