Text | Abstract - Sherlene Gautney, 63, of Cassville, died at 5:15 a.m. April 2 at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield following a brief illness.Mrs. Gautney was born March 4, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Ervin Henry and Ida (DeVries) Fryman. She was a 1954 graduate of Gibsonburg High School in Gibsonburg, Ohio, and moved to Cassville in 1973. She worked at Jumping-Jacks Shoes for 18 years and Fasco Industries in Cassville for 10 years before retiring this year. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Exeter and a member of the Women's Auxiliary of South Barry County Hospital in Cassville.She married James L. Gautney on April 15, 1966, in Jenkins.Survivors include three daughters, four brothers, two sisters, her step-mother, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services were 11 a.m. today, April 5, at Williamson Chapel in Cassville with Rev. Jerry Yarnall, Rev. Heathe Pendergraft, and Rev. Chadd Pendergraft officiating. Burial was in Clio Cemetery in Jenkins under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Cassville. Memorials may be made to the church of American Cancer Society. |
