| Headline | Washburn Farmer Dies |
| Text | Washburn, Mo., May 21--- W. O. Gates, 80 years old, died early Sunday morning in his home in Washburn. He was a retired farmer and had been in ill health for 10 years, since his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Dora McCormack Gates, whom he married in 1900;a son and five daughters; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the First Baptist church at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. The Rev. W. R. Mattingly will officiate. Burial will be in Washburn Prairie cemetery under direction of the Davis-Williamson Chapel in the Valley of Cassville. |
