| Text | Virginia Lee Garrison, 81, of Willard, formerly of Wheaton, died August 14 at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield. Mrs. Garrison was born December 22, 1917, in Commerce, Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert Guy and Louie (Bowman) Evans. She lived in the Wheaton community for 50 years, was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wheaton, and a past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She married Kelley Garrison on September 14, 1934. Survivors include two daughters, of Springfield and of Willard; one son, of Springfield; two sisters, both of Carthage; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, John Garrison. Services will be 10 a.m. tomorrow, August 17, at the United Methodist Church in Wheaton with Rev. Gloria Gold and Rev. Edward Neimeyer officiating. Burial will be in Muncie Chapel Cemetery in Wheaton under the direction of McQueen Funeral Home of Wheaton. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, August 16, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the church. |
