Text | Donald Floyd Garrett, 49, Cassville, died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday at the Missouri Rehabilitation Center, Mount Vernon after a long illness. Mr. Garrett was born July 31, 1941 at Eagle Rock. He lived in the Cassville area most of his life. He was a 1959 graduate of Cassville High School. He worked for the U.S. Geological Survey at Columbia. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and attended the First Baptist Church, both in Cassville. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors include two sons, Donnie Garrett serving with the Army at Fort McClellan, Alahama and David Garrett, Cassville; his mother Erma Garrett, Cassville; two brothers, Robert Garrett, Coarsegold, Calif. and a sister, Marzell Beck Wheaton. He was buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Note: Donald was a Sp 5, US Army, Vietnam. His Grandparents were James and Adaline(Malone) Garrett of Eagle Rock, Mo. |
