| Text | Wanda B. Fry (September 4, 1918 - March 23, 2009) Wanda B. Fry, 90 of Columbus, KS passed away Monday, March 23, 2009 at Quaker Manor in Baxter Springs. Wanda was born September 4, 1918 in Barry County, MO, the daughter of Holly and Florence (Watson) Edmondson. She was a graduate of Commerce High School and married James L. Fry on August 11, 1940. The couple farmed south of Columbus. Wanda was a loving homemaker who loved her family and her church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. She was an active member of Keelville Church. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband June 1, 1998, a sister Lavon Laughlin and three brothers; Chad, Ray and Ben. She is survived by three daughters: the first of Shawnee Mission, KS; the second of Anchorage, AK; the third of Columbus, KS. Two sons: first of rural Columbus and second of rural Baxter Springs. Thirteen grandchildren; Fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister, of Enterprise, MS and one brother, of Lawrence, KS. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday 28, 2009 at Keelville Church. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. |
