Headline | A Good Citizen Dead |
Text | Died, Oct 3, 1907, Christina Frost, after a lingering illness of nearly a year. The remains were laid to rest in the Roller Cemetery, Oct 5. The deceased was a daughter of Col. Alfred and Elizabeth Gowen, and was born near Murfreesboro, Tenn., July 6, 1853, coming to this county in 1856, where she lived most of her life. Sept 9, 1869, she was married to Pleasant M. Frost, who with three children, Wm. O., and Daisy Frost, and Mrs. Manta McCary, survive her. One son, Thomas B., died in early life. She was a member of the Christian Church and lived the life of a Christian. It was her way to aid the weak and helpless. No wanderer ever went from her door unaided. The passing of the years had told greatly on her health and her suffering was much, until that autumn day when God released her from all pain. May all who knew her so live as to rejoin her in that far away home beyond the skies. |
