Obit For Ida May (Fly) Francis
Headline OBITUARY
Text Ida May Francis, daughter of D.C. and Margaret Fly, was born December 27, 1872 and departed this life March 8, 1959, at the age of 86 years, 2 months and 16 days.

Early in life she united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Mt. Joy, near her home and lived a consistent Christian life until her death.

She was united in marriage to William Sherman Francis, November 14, 1894. To this union four children were born, Maynard F., Loren H., an infant daughter and Velma Francis.

She had lived in the Pioneer, Missouri, community for a number of years prior to moving to Fairview, Missouri, 13 years ago.

Her husband, two sons and a daughter preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Velma Francis, of the home, 3 grandchildren, Earl S. Francis, of Neosho, Mo., Cecil B. Francis of Dallas, Texas, and Sarah Francis Church of Tulare, California; 6 great grandchildren, Carl, Patty, Barbara, Sherry, Marsha and Beth Francis; 3 nieces, L.F. McReynolds of Kingman, Kansas, Mrs. J.A. Burrows and Mrs. H. R. Blankenship of Springfield, Mo., also a number of other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services were conducted at the Muncie Chapel Church at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. C.H. Walters of Fairview officiating. Burial was made at the Muncie Cemetery under direction of Pogue Funeral Home.

FAIRVIEW NEWS

Mrs. Ida Francis, who had been a patient in the Cassville hospital the past week after undergoing surgery for a broken hip, passed away Sunday. Mrs. Francis with her daughter, Velma, has made her home in our community the past several years and has many friends who will miss her.

PIONEER NEWS

Our community was saddened by the death of Mrs. Ida Francis, who passed away at the Cassville hospital Sunday afternoon. We extend our deepest sympathy to her daughter, Velma, and other loved ones. Mrs. Francis was a former resident of Pioneer and she was loved by all who knew her.
