Abstract Alma Leona Fogg, 87, of Cassville, died January 17, 2000 at South Barry County Hospital in Cassville. Mrs. Fogg was born September 10, 1912, in Mano, and was a daughter of Lee Franklin and Belva M. (Towler) Holman. She received her bachelor of science degree from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield and masters degree from the University of Arkansas. She taught school in Barry County for 40 years, retiring in 1975 after teaching 29 years at Cassville Elementary School. She was a member the Missouri State Teachers Association, Barry County Retired Teachers Association, and Bible Baptist Church in Cassville. She married Troy E. Fogg on May 7, 1948, and he preceded her in death April 28, 1970. Survivors include two sisters, and several nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis Holman and Walter Holman; and one sister, Nola Holman. Services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, January 20, at Fohn Chapel in Cassville with Rev. Clifton Mizer officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery in Cassville under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, January 19, at the funeral home. |
