Text | Mrs. Hattie Florey Hattie Wells was born in Manchester, Iowa. February 3, 1873. The family moved to western Neb. in the fall of 1874. She was united in marriage to Wm. A. Florey in Gordon Neb. May 31, 1903. To this union was two children born. Leonard, who preceded her in death. Dec. 30, 1919, and Mrs. Beth Linebarger of Exeter, Mo. They moved from Neb. to Crane, Mo in the fall of 1911. Two years later they moved to the Doss community near Exeter. She was converted when a small child and was always active in church and Sunday School work. She was member of the Mt. Pleasant Methodist church. She was a charter member of the Doss W.P.F.A. and for many years was president of the county organization. She passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Beth Linebarger, on Saturday, July 28, 1945 at the age of 72 years, five months and 25 days. She leaves to mourn her passing, her aged husband, Wm. A. Florey, one daughter, Mrs. Beth Linebarger, a brother, Harry E. Wells of Alhambra, Calif., a niece, Mrs. Maud Baker of Tulsa, Okla., who came to help care for her in her last illness, also other nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Exeter Baptist Church on Monday, July 30, by Rev. Chas VanZandt Burial in the Maplewood Cemetery at Exeter, under the direction of the Blankenship Funeral Service. |
