Text | William "Bill" L. Fletcher, 90, of Exeter, died yesterday, January 3, at Red Rose Inn in Cassville. Mr. Fletcher was born May 6, 1914, in Girard, Kansas, the son of Thomas and Hazel Fletcher. He was an Army veteran and trained as a medic. He moved to Exeter 28 years ago. He married Floy Fay Scroggins on July 2, 1941, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Additional survivors include three sons, four daughters, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Fletcher; and one sister, Halley Wilson. Graveside services will be Thursday, January 6, in Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter with Doyle Russell, pastor, officiating under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Cassville. |
