Text | Washburn, Mo., Dec. 10. - James E. Fielding, 71 years old, died at 7 o'clock this morning in the Stella hospital, where he had been a patient since Monday. A retired section hand for the Frisco railroad, he lived near Washburn. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Emma Fielding of West Fork, Ark.; four sons, Albert Fielding of Valley Center, Kan., and Harvey Fielding, Paul Fielding and Arthur Fielding, all of Washburn; four daughters, Mrs. Aud Shockley and Mrs. Charles Chadd, both of Washburn, and Mrs. Walter Clark and Mrs. Donald Winning, both of Marshall; seven sisters, two brothers, 33 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Assembly of God church in the O. K. community, near Washburn. The Rev. Chas. Vanzandt will officiate and burial will be in Washburn Prairie Cemetery under direction of Culver funeral home of Cassville. James Edward Fielding, born June 14, 1884, died age 71 years, 5 months, and 26 days. He was living at Washburn, MO, in Barry Co., MO, and had been married, now a widower, when he died. His parents were given as Edward Fielding and his wife Emma Williams. He died Dec. 10, 1955 at Cardwell Hospital, at Stella, MO [Newton County] and Dr. C. Cardwell was his physician. He was a section hand for the Frisco Railroad and the funeral was at O. K. Assembly of God Chruch and burial in the Washburn Prairie Cemetery. Rev. Chas. Vanzandt performed the ceremony and Mrs. Donald Winning of Rt. 2, Marshall, MO was given as the closest relative. |
