| Text | Cleta A. Ferguson, age 90, of Purdy, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, at the Monett Health Care Center in Monett. She was born May 27, 1916, in Purdy, and was a daughter of the late Ernice and Allie (Terry) Gipson. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Purdy. She was married to David Earnest Ferguson on July 14, 1934, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 2003. Survivors Include: two daughters, of Pierce City, of Joplin; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by two sisters, Loudean Gipson and Juline Young, and one brother, Noel Gipson. Funeral services were held Saturday at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett with Rev. Charles Leonard and Rev. Tony Martin officiating. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, near Butterfield. |
