Obit For William Ellinger Fawver

Text A splendid young man as been called from labor to refreshments, to live in that Holy City, where he had prepared to make an eternal home.

Ellinger Fawver a son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Fawver of Seligman, passed away at the Fawver home Wednesday evening, Aug. 30, 1922, of typhoid fever, aged about 24 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church and Seligman Masonic Lodge and the remains were interred in the cemetery at that place, Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. Arthur Campbell of Cassville, conducted funeral services.

William Ellinger Fawver was born at Seligman, June 8, 1898, and died Aug. 30, 1922 and 5:30 p.m., aged 24 years, 2 months, and 22 days. He took sick July 4, 1922, with typhoid fever. He accepted Christ some eight years ago and was a great Sunday School and church worker.

Story:

The Ku Klux Klan participated in funeral rites of Ellinger Fawver at Seligman, Thursday. They went into the church where the people had assembled, went thru their signs, knelt beside casket and placed a fiery cross of beautiful flowers on casket and departed. They had on their robes and none knew them.
