Headline Rites For Man Killed By Passenger Train
Text Monett, Mo., June 30 - Funeral services for John Fastabend, who was killed early Thursday morning when stuck by a Missouri Pacific passenger train near Harrison, Mo., will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Calloway funeral home. Burial will be in I. O. O. F. cemetery.

The train was leaving the station and not travelling fast, it was said. Noticing a man on the track, the engineer sounded the whistle and applied the brakes, but not in time to avoid hitting Fastabend.

The body was removed to the Atkinson funeral home in Harrisonville, where Coroner W. F. Wolfe pronounced death accidental.

Surviving are his widow and sister, Mrs. H. B.Gleaves of Monett.
