Text | Mrs. Talitha Farrar, wife of W. T. Farrar of Purdy, died at her home in that city on Thursday, March 22, age 63 years, 4 months and 12 days. Talitha Holder was born in Greene County, Missouri, Nov. 10, 1853, and there grew to womanhood. On Jan. 13, 1894 she was united in marriage to W. T. Farrar and they had lived nearly all their married life in the Bethel community, about six years ago moving to Purdy where they resided at the time of her death. At an early age she professed faith in Christ and joined the Baptist Church and lived a consecrated life. Besides her husband she is survived by four sisters and one brother and a number of relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted at the Bethel Church Friday by Rev. J. T. Brattin at 2 p.m. and interment made in the Bethel Cemetery. |
