| Text | John M. Faber, Jr., 71, of Cassville died Dec. 31, 2004, at Clinton, Mo. He was born Feb. 23, 1933, in Republic, Pa., to John Faber Sr. and Mary Kupets Faber. He was a graduate of Drury College and the FBI Academy. He served 20 years in the Air force. He moved to the area in 1977 from Nevada and had served as chief deputy in Barry County and served on the Cassville Police Department. He retired from the state of Missouri as a probation and parole officer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf. He was a member of the Republican Club and Elks Lodge and was a Catholic. He was preceded in death by one son, Ronald John. Survivors include his wife, two sons, two daughters and nine grandchildren. A wake was held Jan. 4 at Williamson Funeral Home in Cassville. Memorials may be made to the John Faber Criminal Justice Scholarship Fund, c/o the funeral home. |
