Mrs. Ruby Fairchild Rites Held Saturday Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Williamson Chapel in the Valley for Mrs. Ruby May Fairchild, 91, a native of the Washburn community, who died Thursday morning in a Muskogee, Okla. hospital. Mrs. Fairchild had been ill only a short time. She had lived in the Washburn area most of her life until about two years ago when she moved to Muskogee to be with her daughter. She was a member of the Washburn Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, W. E. Fairchild of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Mrs. Homer Russell of Muskogee, Okla.; three brothers, Jeff Barnes of Lamar, Colo.; P. L. Barnes of Eureka, Kan.; L. N. Barnes of Rogers, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Della Hurd of Severy, Kan., and Jewell Webb of Los Angeles, Calif.; two grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and a host of other relatives and friends. The Rev. Chas. Vanzandt officiated at the service and burial was in the Washburn Prairie Cemetery under direction of Williamson. Ruby was a daughter of Thomas J. and Zippa C. (Baker) Barnes. |
