| Text | Agnes Leola Fairchild, age 89, of Joplin, died at 9 p.m. October 11 at a local health care center. She was born April 22, 1913, in Mano, and was a daughter of Claude and Jayne (Varner) Stubblefield. She lived several years in Monett. She was a cotton farmer and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Manila, Arkansas. She married John Fairchild on April 4, 1942, in Monette, Arkansas, and he preceded her in death in 1997. Survivors include one brother, Lowell Stubblefield of Aurora; one sister, Dolores Pennel of Joplin; one niece and five nephews. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, October 15, at King's Prairie Cemetery near Monett with Rev. Richard Manley officiating under the direction of Parker Mortuary of Joplin. Memorials may be made to the church. |
