Obit For Veneda Elizabeth (Hicks) Ezell

Text Veneda Elizabeth Ezell, 90, of Monett, died at 7:43 p.m. May 12 at Cox Monett Hospital.

Mrs. Ezell was born March 3, 1909, in Stanley, Arkansas, the daughter of Robert Alonzo and Rosa Meigs Hicks. She was a lifelong resident of the Rhea, Arkansas, community, until moving to Monett four years ago. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rhea.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth Ezell of Stella; one daughter, Glenda Windham of Monett; one brother, Lavern Hick of Springdale, Arkansas; two sisters, Sue Johnson of Keatchie, Louisiana, and Londa Hicks of Colcord, Oklahoma; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. tomorrow, May 15, at the United Methodist Church in Rhea, Arkansas, with Rev. Joe Hall officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Lincoln, Arkansas, under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Local arrangements were under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett.
