Obit For Martha Jane (McComas) Eubanks
Headline Martha Eubanks Last rites are set for Friday
Text Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at the Thompson Chapel for Martha Jane Eubanks, 79, wife of C. J. Eubanks. She passed away early Tuesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. James Campbell at Buhl.

The Rev. Cariton Moore will officiate. (this paragraph was badly smudged but appears to only concern details of the service)

Pallbearers will be the six sons, George Eubanks, Ernest Eubanks, Ira Eubanks, Lloyd Eubanks, Ernest Eubanks and Nick Eubanks.(Ernest Eubanks appears twice but another surviving son was Raymond Eubanks). The eldest son, Walter will be with his father.

The five grandsons and the husband of a granddaughter will be honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Eubanks was a daughter of George and Elmira Hadley McComas. She was born at Butterfield, MO on November 23, 1868. She married Mr. Eubanks March 2, 1884. The couble had 11 children, nine now living. The family lived at Saskatchewan, Canada 15 years before moving to Gooding in 1917.

She was a member of the Christian Church. Surviving are her husband and two daughters and seven sons. Walter Eubanks, Fairfield, George, Ira and Enest, Gooding, Lloyd and Nick both of McCall, Mrs. Nora Wilson, San Gabriel, California and Mrs. Mrs James Campbell, Buhl, 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.

Burial will be at Elmwood under direction of Thompson Chapel.

Research note: Martha's husband was Charles Jasper Eubanks a son of James Jasper and Sophronia (Counts) Eubanks. The daughter Mrs. James Campbell, given name was Frona.
