Headline WALTER ERWIN DIES AT WAYNE
Text Walter Erwin of Wayne passed away at his home, shortly before midnight, Monday, March 31st, following an illness extending over the past year of complication of ailments. Mr. Erwin was 52 years old and was a native of this county, and was a son of Uncle Jim Erwin, old time and highly respected citizen residing at Wayne, who survives. He is also survived by his splendid wife, two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Brixey and Mrs. Demah Antle of Wayne and two brothers, Will of Pierce City and Judge of Washburn.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Chas Vanzandt of Exeter Tuesday afternoon, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Maplewood cemetery at Exeter, under the direction of the Bar Undertaking Co.

Mr. Erwin was well and favorably known throughout that section where he had lived many years and stood high in the estimation of all his acquaintances. The Democrat extends sympathy to the bereaved family.
