| Text | Vern Erwin, 90, Exeter, died at 5 in a.m. Sunday October 7, Cardwell Memorial Hospital at Stella. Mr. Erwin was born August 18, 1883, in Washburn and was member of the Exeter First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Erwin; two sons Raymond Erwin, Bakersfield, California, and Fred Erwin, of the State of Texas, a daughter, Mrs. Faye Pliley, Kansas City; two stepsons, C.J. Bourshaski, Fairview and L.J. Bourshaski of Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters Mrs. Florence Henderson and Mrs. Zola Wheeler both of Bakersfield and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Culver's Chapel with burial in Maplewood Cemetery at Exeter. Deceased: Vern D.
