Text | Mrs. Belle Erwin, widow of the late Josh Erwin of Wayne-Washburn community, passed away July 27, 1942. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, July 29 at the church in Washburn. The services were conducted by Rev. C.F. Siler, of Cassville. Burial was in the Maplewood cemetery at Exeter with the W.D. Koon undertakers of Cassville in charge. Mrs. Erwin was a daughter of H. F. and Annie Ledenham. She was born in Greenfield Jan. 1880. She was in the Stella Hospital for treatment at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to Josh Erwin in 1900 and to them were born three children: Effie, Leon and Ethel, of the home address. She is also survived by two grand-children, Dorothy Sue, and Sandra Lou, and one brother, A.P. Ledenham of Washburn. At the age of 17 she was converted and later united with the Methodist church at Washburn.
