Text | Mrs. Arthur Erwin died in St. Johns Hospital in St. Louis, last Tuesday. Her passing comes as a shock to her friends in this section. Her condition was improving nicely and they planned for her to leave the hospital to return to her home the day she passed away. Her son, Pat, who was in Germany with the armed forces, flew home and was with her when the end came. Mrs. Erwin was born in Monett, and was a daughter of the late Pat Martin. In Nov. 1913, she was married to Arthur Erwin who was elected Recorder of Deeds of this county and they moved to Cassville where they lived eight years. Mr. Erwin preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, and four sisters. Marie Coleman, St. Louis, Rose, Genevieve and Anna Martin of Monett.
